About Us

Mitchell Street Child Care Centre (MSCCC) is a not-for-profit community Child Care centre located on Mitchell St in Larrakeyah. The Centre is licenced for 59 children.

MSCCC has been running for over 42 years with thousands of children spending formative years at the Centre and learning the foundations of life, leaving their mark on the Centre and the many long-term staff.

Emma has been working with families and their children for over 17 years, highly dedicated to seeking best outcomes and opportunities for all children to thrive, and become the best they can be.

The MSCCC is a very popular centre, but we encourage families to contact us to discuss room availability, fees, services or any other questions.

Management Committee

The Mitchell St Child Care Centre is overseen by a Management Committee, which is comprised of Parent/Guardian representatives. The Committee meets regularly in order to discuss the overall operations of the Centre including, compliance, strategy, finance, resourcing, fundraising, events and many other matters.

The current Management Committee is:

Vice President: Matthew Strudwick
Treasurer: Ryan Neutert
Secretary: Louise Baryran
Ordinary Members: Emma Grieve, Ellen McGregor, Rebecca McLaren, Laura Boucher and Emma Wood (Director).

President’s Profile: Sarah Andrews

Sarah has been involved through her children with the Mitchell Street Child Care Centre since her son commenced in the Possum Room at the start of 2017. Since that time, Sarah has got to know all the amazing staff and recognising the hard-work and passion they have for children at the Centre. She has previously served as Secretary on the Committee and has assisted the Centre with grants. She now has a daughter in the Possum Room.

Sarah has experience volunteering on community not for profit Boards, as well as working for a Board in her day-to-day role for Hospitality NT.
